I live in New Plymouth where we have a weekly roadside composting collection, which I used to eliminate rats from my compost.
My garden now benefits from my kitchen waste, including meat. This method is quick and easy with no offensive odour, and no rodent problems.
My other compost bin system is now used for garden waste. FANTASTIC SYSTEM WELL WORTH THE INVESTMENT 😊
I've been using Pickled bokashi flakes for nearly a year and the improvement in my soil is amazing. Well I didn't have any soil initially, I live on a sand dune! So to have worm filled, vege growing soil is a miracle.
Perfect for a family as I don't have to be so strict on monitoring what goes into the compost bucket.
